HRH the Duchess of Gloucester attended a specially convened Hub which incorporated representatives from all four Hubs. It was organised at Epiphany House in Kenwyn, Truro where attendees and volunteers from the Rotary Clubs across Cornwall met the Duchess.
She listened to Paul Hughes, Community Pharmacist who spoke to attendees about their medication and was fascinated, along with Lady Mary, by a Skype presentation on how this can be used to ‘speak’ to friends and relatives via email.
The Duchess spoke with numerous attendees about living with Parkinson’s before being presented on her departure with a basket of Cornish goodies by Jenny Astin
We were pleased to get significant press coverage in the West Briton following the visit which further raises awareness of the Hubs
You made a difference
JPC has been most grateful to Rotary Clubs across Cornwall and Inner Wheel of the Rotary Club of Truro for their generous support at the Hubs. Each Hub relies on Rotary support for setting up the venue, refreshments, chatting to attendees etc and its only right that this support is acknowledged and recognition of all their hard work and support was thoroughly deserved.
You made a difference certificates were presented to Club representatives at the HRH visit.
Rotary Club of Truro
